What started kind of on accident, became a dream and a passion & has turned into something far beyond what I imagined. The Local Bombshell isn't just a salon or a boutique—it's a place where confidence, community, and creativity come together under one roof.
When The Bombshell was born, it was only supposed to offer me a super part time opportunity to do hair & "make a few bucks" (per my husbands words...LOL!) while our kiddos were in school. But it quickly changed course when I realized how much I could serve the ladies in our community.
Even though back in 2016, when we started The Bombshell, it was supposed to be a part time gig, I still knew I wanted to create a space that felt like more than a hair appointment or a quick stop to shop. I wanted to create an experience, a destination - I wanted every guest to walk in feeling seen, welcomed, and maybe just a little bit spoiled. I also knew that beauty wasn't one-size-fits-all. It had to be approachable, real, and tailored to each person who sat in my chair or browsed my shelves.
That vision became The Local Bombshell.
On the salon side, it's all about healthy hair, honest recommendations, and helping people love what they see in the mirror. I have always committed to myself to investing in education - I feel I owe that to you every time you sit in my chair. Whether it's a subtle glow-up or a bold transformation, my chair has seen LOTS of tears, LOTS of laughter, so many deep convos, and big "aha" moments. I get to be a part of all of your moments, no mater what they are, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Then came the boutique—born from the same desire to celebrate personal style and add a little extra sparkle to everyday life. I wanted to provide a convenient way for guests to have the chance to enjoy getting their beauty services done, but also do a little shopping for themselves or find thoughtful gifts for their loved ones. From cozy home décor to unique fashion finds, each piece is handpicked with intention. If it doesn’t feel good or make you smile, it doesn’t make the cut.
And yes, I do it all with messy buns, coffee in hand, and probably a little dog hair on my clothes. (Perks of working with heart, not a handbook, & doing it from our acreage!)
